Following the untimely death of our administrator and main fundraiser, Richard Loom, we are having to wind down this Charity. This is mainly because, after 18 months of being unable to find unpaid volunteers to assist Richard, we feel we cannot continue to perform the tasks we set out to achieve without the steady income required.
The Board of Trustees wish to thank all those who have helped us over the last 17 years and regret that we can no longer get the volunteers to cover the events that we have enjoyed being at in the past. We would also like to thank Advertise by Design for standing by us and providing this website.
Standing (holding collecting buckets) at Boot Fair exits, Underground Station and Supermarket entrances, with Richard, was always hard work, but (although tiring) great fun. We will miss it, but do have jobs to hold down to meet paying our own bills. We miss Richard, as so many of you have, judging by the messages we have received.
